For the Fuori Salone del Mobile, the new Milanese showroom of KME hosted an installation entitled ‘Copper Trilogy’.
KME entrusted three well-known designers with different sensibilities, provenances and creative processes to interpret KME’s incredible range of copper and copper alloys for new forms and design objects.
With Copper Trilogy, KME created a special exhibit in which ‘Mist’ coffee tables by Nendo design, ‘Beryl’ modular trays by Francesco Rota design and the ‘Draped Copper Lamp’ by Design Front illuminated the environment.
The windows on Via Sforza and Largo Augusto were an intrinsic part of the installation, thanks to “clouds” of white and copper-coloured words that partially obscured the view of passers-by, alluding to the installation and the myriad characteristics of the collection, creating a veiled effect that left just a hint of what’s inside so that it could be discovered gradually.
The warm, delicate and elegant tones of the rich shadings and contrasts of light and shadow recreated by the precious metals of KME were the true protagonists of this unique scenario which made the KME copper come to life keeping with new forms of contemporary design.
