If the scores of logs or trees, either taken down by the forces of nature or knocked down by lumber activity were to be salvaged and given a new life, it would take recycling to a whole new level. Well, Nicole Belanger of Nickadoo Design is doing exactly that! Each log is cut into slabs which either become coffee tables or consoles; the bigger stumps are transformed into side tables or tabourets.
The hands-on work is a joyful process for her and she believes it all stems from “a respect for the forest and the trees that are its soul”.
