Leftover slivers of wood are normally used for packaging, filling or bonded together to form boards which are used for furniture. Inspired by their re-use and going one step ahead Valerio Romondia of Italy has constructed a clock out of a wood wool brick which in turn was made out of discarded bits of wood.
A standard set of aluminium hands which were again recycled were employed. Measuring 7x4x3 inches and dubbed the Kyoto Clock, this design elegantly combines minimalism and strong values of a sustainable design.
